The 390LM is Bluetooth compatible and all you need to do is just connect it to your cell phone and your Bluetooth enabled helmet or headset and you can then start receiving calls-on-the-go. Given this convenience, you’ll now be able to receive calls without having to worry about taking off your helmet or gloves. The Zumo interface also makes it easy to call POIs which is great if you have a last minute change of plans and want to stop somewhere to get some rest or just have something to eat.

TPMS compatible
What probably sets the 390LM apart from many other GPS devices out there is the fact that it’s compatible with the newly integrated TPMS. With the Zumo display, monitoring tire pressure after adding a sensor for each of them is a breeze. The system supports a total of four tires regardless of configuration, but bear in mind that 1 TPMS sensor needs to be installed for each tire.
On top of that, thanks to the Service History Log, you can record things such as the type, mileage and date of maintenance performed on your bike. The list goes on though, so anything from new spark plugs, oil changes, chain cleanings, tire pressure, changes and mileage can be logged.
Curvy Roads
Regardless if you ride during a moonless fall night or a bright summer day, the 390LM comes with excellent features that you’ll simply love. Thanks to the new Curvy Road feature, the device makes it a breeze to select and navigate routes on winding roads in order to get to your destination. Thanks to it, each trip is going to be a wonderful experience.
Voice prompted directions
The 390LM makes it easy to know where you’re going without having to check the screen and divert your attention away from the road by speaking street names. It can do this through a Bluetooth compatible headset or through the built in speaker headphone jack. Since it’s also compatible with BaseCamp, you can now use the Zumo 390LM in order to plan your next ride within seconds. The software allows you to create waypoints and routes from your computer and then transfer them to the GPS. Better yet, you can also share these routes with your friends so they can enjoy the same amazing thrill and experience as you.
Lifetime map updates
It’s very important to note the fact that the Garmin Zumo 390LM provides users with the convenience of lifetime map updates (European and N. American versions are available) meaning that you’re going to get current info and updated mapping about hospitals, police stations, ATMs, gas stops, restaurants and so on. There’s also a premium navigation search bar that you can use in order to learn more about points of interests as they’re typed, flexibility which provides a more intuitive and faster experience.
All in all, the Garmin Zumo 390LM is an excellent motorcycle GPS for anyone who wants to take advantage of a host of useful and powerful features and don’t want to compromise on any aspects of their device. Since it’s also built very well, you’re definitely going to get many years of use out of it.
